Zulu Summer
Role: Additional Editor
Studio: Interesting Human Media

I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with my old friend (and Academy Award winner) Eric Michael Schrader (Life Below Zero) on his latest documentary film “Zulu Summer”.

About The Film:
After receiving a suspicious e-mail from an African prince, a radio DJ in small-town Montana forges an international alliance that will change the lives of people continents apart. ZULU SUMMER shows what happens when two vastly different peoples from opposite sides of the globe come together for a cross-cultural exchange in a story of hope and empowerment, demonstrating the power of building bridges rather than walls.

While Eric shot and edited a majority of the film he was gracious enough to give me a really great scene to cut on my own. I was tasked with cutting a three minute sequence of Prince Sboniso Zulu and his friends Mokai & Nkokhelo exploring Butte's longest-running summer festival, Evel Knievel Days, named for the famous daredevil and local treasure.
